CityMakers competition

Every challenge is a path from idea to working prototype.

Teams of students take on real city challenges, prove their idea in the Initial round, and the strongest teams build their prototype further in the Finale.

  1. 1

    Registration

Teams sign up for the high-school or university track of the current edition.

  2. 2

    Initial round

Every team in a track tackles the same challenge in its private workspace.

  3. 3

    Finale

Finalists pick a Finale challenge, build a prototype and present it in person.

Teams

Up to 5 makers per team

One member creates the team and invites the rest. High-school teams compete in the Basic track, university teams in the Advanced track.

Phase 1

Initial challenge and review

Teams submit their project before the Initial deadline. Workspaces then lock and moderators review every submission to select the finalists.

Phase 2

Finale build and judging

Finalists choose a Finale challenge and keep building until the Finale deadline. Projects are judged in person and results are published here.
